Religious Formation Ministries

S.A.Y. (St. Aloysius Youth) is a series of classes, events, and programs geared toward our parish’s teenagers, from both public and parochial high schools. S.A.Y. includes a 6:30-8 p.m. class every Wednesday exploring contemporary issues in faith in Clare Hall. We liaison with youth ministry organizations from other parishes for faith formation and fun! The program also sponsors quarterly recreational activities, such as cook-outs, ski trips, and game nights. Throughout the year, we encourage spiritual growth opportunities like Steubenville, TEC: Teens Encounter Christ, and the Diocesan Youth Conferences.

The Saturday Night Social Series, held on the first Saturday of the month, provide opportunities to deepen our knowledge and awareness of the Catholic faith through scripture.

The parish also sponsors Parish Missions, Parish Retreats, and separate A.C.T.S. Men's and Women retreats. Through our learning about Jesus Christ and His Church, we seek to grow closer to Him through the sacraments and build the Kingdom of God.

Small Faith Groups meet for six week sessions just before Advent and during Lent.

Men's Group/Spiritual Workouts meets twice a month on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00. We watch a short video on topics and issues to strengthen ourselves as Catholic men and husbands, followed by short discussions on the topic/issue. We use the Crossing the Goal (CTG) program series whose mission is to call, equip and empower Catholic men to become and stay spiritually fit in their faith through the utilization of Spiritual Fitness Workouts. Crossing the Goal is centered on Spiritual Fitness Workouts with formats based on professional football best practices and utilizing mobile technology to energize a man’s faith and help him live a spirit-filled life as Jesus intended. Participation in Spiritual Fitness Workout teams serves to train and strengthen men inwardly, thus enabling them to become Godly individuals who will make a positive difference in their homes, parishes, workplaces and communities. See the bulletin for dates and times. If you happen to miss a week, you can view all CTG video series at

Women's Bible Study meets Wednesday mornings from 10 AM to 11:30 AM in Clare Hall.  We base our study on a Bible Study Timeline which outlines the fourteen books of the Bible that carry the narrative thread.  We are doing an overview at present and will be studying each of the fourteen books in depth as well as several supplemental books.  Our meetings include intercessory prayer, some outreach, and social time.  No prior Bible knowledge is necessary.  All women of the parish are welcome to attend.

The Engaged Couples Conference is presented by married couples for couples who are planning to marry. Talks and discussions focus on various aspects of married life, including finances, Christian/everyday living, married love, communication and spirituality of marriage. We need more married couples who are willing to be a party of the team by assisting with planning, presenting, or preparing meals. Conferences are held once or twice a year.
